Best Budget Gaming Monitors Under $300

The gaming monitors are getting better and better, and that is a great thing for those of you who wish to built a budget-friendly gaming setup. Below you can find some of the best budget gaming monitor models under $300.

Below you can find various gaming monitors that should help you get the best performance out of your favorite games. Most models are budget-friendly, and if you are a beginner when it comes to gaming, then a budget monitor should be enough for the moment. However, if you’re an advanced gamer and you are looking for higher refresh rates, smoother FreeSync, higher resolutions on bigger models, then you might want to take a look at some units that are more expensive than the ones listed here.

DELL S2719DGF – 27”, QHD and 144Hz

This model is one of the best monitors you can get your hands on, as it comes with some great specs over the other models presented under it. The S2719DGF gaming monitor by DELL is packing a 2560 x 1440 resolution, FreeSync support for AMD GPUs and it seems like Nvidia has added support for G-Sync, too. This models comes with 1ms response time, but you will have to tinker with some of its factory settings in order to get the best out of it.

If you are planning on gaming mostly, then this is the model that you should get, as it comes with a higher resolution, it measures 27” and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Also the looks of this model are not that bad, as it is a gaming monitor that lacks the red colors all OEMs are putting on their units, which is something that more and more gamers are trying to avoid when purchasing a new panel.

ViewSonic XG2402 – 24”, FullHD and 144Hz

The ViewSonic XG2402 model comes with FreeSync support, and it offers 144Hz refresh rate on a 1920 x 1080 FullHD resolution, and ultra fast response time measuring 1ms. The AMD FreeSync technology is not that bad on this model, and the TN panel fast response time should help you get an edge over the other players.

Also, this XG2402 ViewSonic comes with Eye Care limiting your eye soreness and fatigue when gaming for long hours. There aren’t too many features or function that you will find on this unit, but it will provide enough for a budget gaming setup.

DELL P2417H – 24”, FullHD and 60Hz

This model’s panel is an IPS LED measuring 24 inches. It goes to a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080, and it has a refresh rate of 60Hz. This DELL P2417H unit doesn’t come with a variable refresh rate, as it isn’t FreeSync capable, but you will still get low response time out of it. In order to get the color quality you will also need to tinker with the default factory setting. If you don’t want to spend too much on a gaming monitor, or you’re not playing “competitive” FPS games, then this model should be enough for other game types.

LG 29UM69G-B Ultrawide – 29”, FullHD and 75Hz

The 29UM69G-B gaming monitor by LG is a Ultrawide model and it comes with a 75Hz refresh rate and it is FreeSync capable, too. The maximum resolution you can set on this model is 2560 x 1080 with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The LCD panel type is IPS and it is capable of a ultra fast response time reaching 1ms. Also the Dynamic Action Sync should offer a low input lag for maximum responsiveness from any game that you might play on your computer.

DELL U2518D – 25”, 1440p QHD and 60Hz

The last gaming monitor presented in this post will be the 25” DELL model number U2518D with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a 60Hz refresh rate. This is a great 1440p IPS monitor that offers great wide angle picture quality and beautiful colors.

This model has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and it is capable of displaying HDR and HDR10 content.
