Philips has just presented a brand new ultrawide monitor designed for gamers. The monitor's release date and pricing haven't been unveiled at this moment.
The Philips 345M1CR Curved monitor comes with a VA panel measuring 34 inches diagonally, and it offers the following specs: 3440 x 1440 maximum screen resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, 144hz refresh rate, low input lag, 1ms MPRT, Adaptive Sync support for both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync technologies, 4ms GTG response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 178°/178° wide viewing angles, 16.7M colors, 90% Adobe RGB and 119% sRGB wide color gamuts. For those that are looking to use the monitor for office work, then you should that it also offers PiP (Picture-in-Picture), and PbP (Picture-by-Picture) functions.
Philips releases the monitor with factory calibration, so that you will get Delta E <2 right out of the box and experience excellent color accuracy. The main connectivity ports, DisplayPort and HDMI, featured on the 345M1CR should offer support for both FreeSync and G-Sync technologies. The Philips 345M1CR stand ergonomics offers support for adjusting its tilt angle and height position. The monitor should be released before the end of this year, and we will get back to this post when new details are released by Philips.
