Asus ROG Strix XG32UQ confirmed to feature 4K 32-inch 160hz Fast IPS panel and HDMI 2.1 support

ASUS has confirmed the launch of the X-variant of the PG32UQ gaming monitor. The new ROG STRIX XG32UQ by ASUS is a flashier model than the one mentioned before and we will list all the differences in the post below.

The new gaming monitor from ASUS will be released later this year and we will post an updated article when we get our hands on info related to availability and pricing.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG32UQ offers 32-inch Fast IPS screen, 3840 x 2160 screen 4K UHD resolution, 96% DCI-P3 and 130% sRGB color gamuts, 450nits standard brightness levels, 1ms GtG minimum response time, Flicker-free, 160hz maximum refresh rate, excellent wide viewing angles, 1000:1 standard contrast ratio, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, Low Blue Light support, deltaE < 2 color accuracy, Extreme Low Motion Blur support, DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC port, HDMI 2.1 ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A inputs, and an ergonomic stand lettings using adjust the monitor's swivel, tilt and height positions.

This monitor is VESA 100x100 compatible for those looking to hook it up to a desk mount. Another cool feature is the VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification which should offer some HDR gaming capabilities for those looking to obtain a beautiful gaming experience.

Compared to the previous PG32UQ model, the ASUS ROG Strix XG32UQ offers higher refresh rate as it goes up to 160hz, while the "PG" model only supports 144hz VRR, no audio speakers, and other minor differences.
