Gigabyte has unveiled the Gigabyte AORUS CO49DQ monitor, featuring an expansive 49-inch super ultrawide display, a 5120 x 1440 resolution, and a high-performance QD-OLED technology panel, all complemented by a swift 144Hz refresh rate.
The newly released Gigabyte AORUS CO49DQ boasts a massive 49-inch display with a super ultrawide format and an impressive 32:9 aspect ratio. Its core features revolve around a cutting-edge Samsung Display QD-OLED technology panel, offering a resolution of 5120 x 1440. With a swift 0.03ms G2G response time, a 250 cd/m2 SDR typical brightness, and a remarkable 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, this display provides a visual experience that captivates.
The AORUS CO49DQ ensures a wide and immersive viewing angle of 178/178, complemented by a 10-bit color depth and a broad color gamut covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. Boasting a 144Hz refresh rate, the display supports adaptive-sync for variable refresh rate (VRR) on compatible systems. It holds certifications under AMD's 'FreeSync Premium Pro' and the recent VESA 'ClearMR' scheme.
Included in the package are various 'Tactical' gaming features such as Black Equalizer, crosshair, timer, and more. The product page mentions 'Aim Stabilizer,' Gigabyte's strobing blur reduction backlight technology for LCDs. However, it's noteworthy that this feature is not listed in the official specifications or user manual, leading us to believe it may be an error on the main page. It's important to note that we do not anticipate the inclusion of any blur reduction mode, such as Black Frame Insertion (BFI), commonly used on OLED panels.
The Gigabyte CO49DQ comes equipped with 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1, and 1x USB Type-C connections, the latter featuring DP Alt mode and a somewhat modest 18W power delivery. Gigabyte has included VRR and ALLM compatibility in accordance with the HDMI 2.1 specification, indicating support for these features on consoles. Additionally, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) modes are available, complemented by 2x USB data ports and a headphone jack. The monitor is also outfitted with 2x 5W speakers.
Another great thing about this monitor is the OLED Care software. This will let users to manage and prevent OLED burn-in by using various tools like Pixel Clean to prolong the life of their new gaming monitor.
