Philips announces the 27" 27E1N8900 OLED 4K professional monitor

Philips has announced a brand new professional monitor designed for those that are working with photos, graphic design, video editing, and more. The monitor will be released later this year for a price that should be north of $1000 value.

The complete version of the monitor is  27E1N8900/27 and it will sport the following specs: 27-inch OLED panel, 3840 x 2160 4K UHD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 0.1ms minimum response time, Mega Infinity DCR Smart Contrast, SmartImage enhacements, 1.07B colors, 99.7% DCI-P3 color gamut value, 99.6% AdobeRGB, 250% sRGB and 119% NTSC. The monitor will offer DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, Delta E <1, Low Blue Mode, EasyRead, sRGB, excellent wide viewing angles, Full White Luminance 250cd/m2, Peak White Luminance 540cd/m2, 60hz refresh rate.

The low refresh rate value is due to the monitor not being designed with gaming in mind, as those that are strictly using their computer for work won't find time to game on it, too. Also, the monitor comes with complete ergonomics support letting users adjust the height, pivot, swivel and tilt angles.

When it comes to connectivity the Philips 27E1N8900 comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, USB-C 3.2 Gen1 with upstream 90W power delivery support, USB-B port, and four USB 3.2 ports. The monitor also offers a KVM switch letting you to control two different computers with a single mouse-and-keyboard combo. This monitor will be released later this year and it will be available in Asia and North America at first.
