ASUS Presents the ROG Strix XG27WQ 1440p Curved Gaming Monitor with 165Hz Refresh Rate, AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync Support

The ASUS ROG Strix XG27WQ is a new gaming monitor that should soon be available for launch worldwide. This monitor is curved and it should offer all the latest Adaptive Sync features, and other technologies that are designed to greatly improve anyone's gaming experience.

The model version of ASUS' new monitor is XG27WQ and, it comes with WQHD 2560 x 1440 maximum screen resolution, support for both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync technologies, 27-inch VA curved panel, 1500R curvature radius, DisplayHDR 400, HDR10, ASUS ELMB 1ms response time, 92% DCI-P3 and 125% sRGB wide color gamuts, 165Hz variable refresh rate, 3000:1 contrast ratio, GamePlus, HDCP Support, Trace Free Technology, Low Blue Light, Shadow Boost, GameFast Input technology, Flicker-Free, and it is VESA 100x100 wall mountable if you don't want to use the stand it comes with.

Please note that the NVIDIA G-Sync support is only for the GeForce RTX 20 series, GTX 10 models, and the GTX 16 versions, as well as for any other GPUs Nvidia will launch from now on. Before getting this monitor you should check to see if your NVIDIA GeForce GPU is supported and capable of using G-Sync functions.

The looks of the XG27WQ curved monitor are offering a now classic ASUS ROG design, as it offers RGB AURA Sync on its back and a logo display light on the bottom of its stand. The stand offers support for adjusting the monitor's tilt, swivel and height positions, so that you can enjoy playing your favorite games in a comfortable position. Also, note that the Ultra-Low Blue and Flicker-free options are present and you should use these in case you're looking to use the monitor for longer periods of time.

The connectivity ports of the ASUS ROG Strix XG27WQ are: one DisplayPort 1.2, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one 3.5mm headphone hack, and two USB 3.0 ports. Note that the DisplayPort input is the one that supports 165Hz variable refresh rate, as the HDMI port only allows up to 144Hz refresh rate. The monitor should come with both an HDMI and DisplayPort cable when it gets released.

The release date for this monitor is set for later this year, but we have no info on its pricing yet. We hope that the pricing for this model will stay under $1000.
