Acer Launches New UltraWide Gaming Monitor, XV340CKP Offers 144Hz Refresh Rate on IPS Panel

The new XV340CKP flat ultrawide gaming monitor has just been released by Acer, and it offers IPS panel, 144Hz refresh rate, a 3440x1440 maximum resolution and support for AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync technologies.

This model measures 34 inches diagonally and it uses a flat IPS panel that is capable of a variable refresh rate measuring 144Hz refresh rate, which makes it great if you would like to not see anymore screen stuttering or image tearing. The minimum gray-to-gray (GTG) response time is 4ms, while Acer also advertises the 1ms MPRT value for blue reduction backlight mode.

The XV340CKP by Acer offers a resolution of 3440 x 1440 QHD and 21:9 aspect ratio. Since the model offers an IPS panel you will get great wide viewing angles. The monitor offers HDR10 technology, Virtual Response Boost, BlueLight Shield and Flickerless functions that should greatly reduce your eye strain. Other features you will find on this model are: 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 16.7M colors, and 100 sRGB color gamut.

The Acer XV340CKP connectivity ports found on this model are as following: 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x DisplayPort 1.4, and four USB 3.0 ports, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. For those curious about it, you should know that it offers two 3W speakers, too. Also, this ultrawide monitor offers tilt and height adjustments. Currently there is no info on the release date in the United States, nor on its final pricing tag. We will soon update our article in case these details are made public.
