Sony A9G OLED 4K Ultra HD is 2019's Best TV at Value Electronics Shootout

The Sony A9G has been announced as the “King of TV” proud winner by Value Electronics in New York. Check below for more info on this TV and all the goodies packed inside it.

The prize was contested by no more than four different TV models: the Samsung QN65Q90R, LG OLED65C9PUA, Sony XBR-65Z9F and the Sony XBR-65A9G. All these TV models are gorgeous and are packing some of the best panels you have ever seen. This Value Electronics Event took place in New York during the CE Week held at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. All the TVs listed above have been calibrated by a team of experts that pitted all the models against each other in four different categories. Check all these models’ specifications list on our compare tool here.

The 65-inch Sony A9G has been the winner in all the categories which means that no any other model stood any chance of winning the “king of TV” prize. The official categories were the Best Standard Dynamic Range Day Mode, Best SDR Reference Mode, Best HDR TV, and the Best Streaming TV. All the models pitted against the A9G are flagships and they all scored great in all categories, so it doesn’t matter too much if you decide to buy the winner model or a lesser one.

For those looking to purchase the Sony A9G model, then you have to be prepared to pay at least $3500 for the smaller 55-inch model, $4500 for the medium-size 65-inch unit, or $8000 for the bigger 77-inch model. All the models are running the latest Android TV OS, and are packing the same panels, so you will get the best picture quality out of any model you decide to purchase.

Note that the Sony A9G comes with the Android 8.0 Oreo OS, but it will also support the new Android 9.0 Pie OS Update that should be released later this year, or early 2020. This models should be available for purchase worldwide starting this June.
