Philips 242B1V gets presented by MMD, It offers Privacy Mode, FullHD Resolution, SmartImage and 24" IPS Panel

The Philips 242B1V is a brand new professional monitor that will get released worldwide before the end of this month.

The Philips 242B1V is marketed by MMD, company that holds the Philips brand license, and today we found info on the monitor's specs, launch date and pricing. This new monitor comes with the following specs: W-LED backlight, 23.8-inch IPS panel, 1920 x 1080 Full HD screen resolution, 75Hz refresh rate, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms GtG response time, SmartImage technology, Philips Privacy Mode, excellent wide viewing angles, SmartErgoBAse, EasyRead, FlickerFree technology, LowBlue Mode, LightSensor, Power Sensor, and tons of other cool small features that will greatly improve your work experience.

The new Privacy Mode that Philips 242B1V is packing will allow users to darken the display when viewing from the sides, while keeping the data visible only to those standing right in front of it. The Privacy Mode can be activated with a single press of a button on the monitor. Also, another cool feature that the Philips 242B1V is coming with is the Power Sensor that can detect the user's presence - when the user is away from the monitor the Power Sensor will dim the brightness to cut any unnecessary energy costs.

Also, the Monitor offers VGA, DVI-D, DisplayPort 1.2 input, and HDMI 1.4 port. HDCP is supported through DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI ports. THere are four USB 3.2 downstream ports, one USB 3.2 with fast charging support, and USB-B upstream port. The monitor will be released towards the end of June 2020 and it is seems like it will be available for a price under $500. We will post an update with the monitor's final pricing when this will be official.
