MSI continues to launch new gaming monitors and today we got news on their future new models, the Optix MAG273 and the Optix MAG273R. Both monitors are packing the same features except for the "R" version Mystic Light and Height adjustment support.

The MSI MAG273 and MAG273R will be launched later this year, as MSI hasn't provided this info at this moment so we can only speculate on a possible release date. Both monitors are destined for competitive gaming, as they are offering only Full HD 1080p resolution with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and AMD FreeSync support.

The other main features that both monitors are packing are: 27-inches IPS panel, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1080 FullHD resolution, 144hz variable refresh rate, 1ms response time, 139% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 color gamuts, excellent wide viewing angles, HDR Ready, 1000:1 contrast ratio, one DisplayPort 1.2a input, one USB 2.0 Type B, two USB 2.0 Type A ports, two HDMI 2.0b ports, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Other smaller features that these monitors will be packing are: 1.07B colors, Anti-glare, 250 nits brightness, Game Mode, Night Vision, Anti-Flicker, Less Blue Light, Gaming OSD App 2.0, True Color Wide Color Gamut software, super narrow bezels, and Tilt adjustment.

The MSI Optix MAG273R model is offering Mystic Light over the standard MAG273 and a stand that supports height adjustment. The standard model comes with no Mystic Light and no height adjustment support, but it features all the other great competitive gaming features, so you won't miss out on any of these if you opt for it. These monitors should be ready for launch this year, and we will post an update when such details are revealed by MSI.
