Lenovo G27-20 and G27Q-20 budget gaming monitors will be released January 2021

Lenove has just made official the launch of two new 27-inch gaming monitors that are designed for those with lower budgets. Both monitors will be shipped starting with the first month of 2021, and we will try to offer an update on each unit's capabilities.

Both gaming monitors will be available in North America starting startin with January 2021. The monitors are offering 27-inch panels with almost the same specs except for the resolution and other minor changes.

Lenovo G27-20 main specs and features:

  • 27-inch IPS edgeless screen.
  • 1920 x 1080 Full HD maximum screen resolution.
  • WLED backlit.
  • 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • excellent 178° / 178° wide viewing angles.
  • 3ms response time when Extreme Mode is used.
  • 5ms response time with Normal mode.
  • 1ms MPRT response time.
  • 144hz maximum variable refresh rate.
  • AMD FreeSync Premium technology support.
  • 400 nights brightness.
  • 1000:1 contrast ratio.
  • 99% sRGB wide color gamut.
  • true 8bit color depth.
  • Anti-glare, flicker-free and Low Blue Light panel.
  • HDR decoding support.
  • one HDMI 1.4 port, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, 3.5mm audio out.
  • detachable stand that supports tilt and height adjustments.
  • if you want better ergonomics you can hook it up to a desk mount with VESA 100x100 compatibility.

The Lenovo G27-20 packs a lower resolution and it will be sold starting from $239.99, which is quite cheap for a FULL HD IPS panel capable of 144hz AMD FreeSync Premium.

LG G27q-20 main specs and features:

  • 27-inch IPS panel.
  • WLED backlit.
  • 2560x1440 QHD screen resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
  • 99% sRGB wide color gamut.
  • 165hz variable refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium support.
  • 10-bit screen color depth.
  • excellent wide viewing angles.
  • 1ms MPRT response time.

  • tilt and height adjustable stand.
  • VESA 100x100 capability.
  • one HDMI 2.0 input, one DisplayPort 1.2 input and a 3.5mm audio out/ headphone jack.
  • 109 dots per inch.

This QuadHD Lenovo G27q-20 gaming monitor will be sold for @299.99 and it will be launched first month of 2021.

The prices Lenovo has set for these monitors are quite low and if you're in the market for a brand new gaming monitor that's capable of high refresh rates with AMD FreeSync Premium supported, then you can consider buying one of above models. NOTE: we still recommend everyone to wait until these are released and for reviewers to finish their work before ordering any of them.
